Short answer: a landing-page demo needs to be 60–90 seconds, open on the product's best moment, zoom on every interaction, and end on the outcome, not a feature tour. With an auto-zoom recorder you can script, record and export one in an afternoon.
The script: four beats, not a tour
- The payoff (0–5s): the most impressive visible moment, cold-open. No logo intro.
- The problem-shaped setup (5–20s): the situation your buyer recognises, shown in the product.
- The magic path (20–70s): the 3–4 interactions that get from problem to result. Not eight features, the one path.
- The outcome + CTA (70–90s): the end state, held for a beat, then your call to action.
Write each beat as one sentence. If the script has the word "also", cut it.
Recording: clean take, tracked clicks
- Demo account with beautiful fake data (real-looking names, sensible numbers).
- Record just the app area, not the whole screen (area recording).
- Move deliberately, your cursor speed sets the video's energy.
- Do 2–3 full takes; keep the smoothest.
The edit: cinema without an editor
This is where auto-zoom tools earn the afternoon back: zooms on every click (use the 3D tilt for launch-energy or straight zooms for a calmer feel), click and typing sounds, a background that matches your brand (or your landing page's colour via a solid backdrop), trim the ends, speed-ramp anything slow. In Girato that's all one pass, and a logo overlay watermarks the corner.
Export specs that convert
- 16:9, 1080p, 60fps, MP4 for the landing page, 60fps makes the camera moves feel premium.
- Keep it muted-autoplay-friendly: the video must make sense without sound (the zooms and effects carry it), with sound as a bonus.
- Also export a 9:16 cutdown of beats 1 and 3 for launch-day social.
The test: mute it, play it at arm's length. If you can still follow what the product does and why it's good, ship it.
